Resolving Complaints and Appeals

Resolving Complaints and Appeals
We recognise that an editorial rejection or an unfavourable decision may feel unfair to authors. For this reason, “WSHIU Scientific Notebooks: Theory and Practice of Social Security” maintains a transparent procedure for handling appeals and complaints in a respectful and consistent manner.

Editorial decision appeals
If your manuscript has been rejected and you believe the decision was based on a misunderstanding, factual error, or an issue in the review process, you may submit an appeal.
! To appeal, please email the Editorial Office using the journal’s official contact email listed on the website and include
•    the manuscript title and submission identifier, if available
•    a clear statement that you are submitting an appeal
•    well supported reasons for the appeal, including specific points you believe were misunderstood or assessed incorrectly
•    any evidence or clarifications that may assist the Editorial Board in reconsidering the decision
After the appeal is received, the Editorial Office will confirm whether the appeal is eligible for review. The appeal will be assessed by the Editorial Board or by an independent editor when appropriate, especially when a conflict of interest is possible.
The appeal review process typically takes up to 30 working days. The journal will provide the outcome in writing. The decision on an appeal is final and cannot be appealed again.

Complaints about journal management or ethics
If you have concerns about the conduct of the editorial process, journal management, or potential breaches of publication ethics, please contact the Publisher using the journal’s official contact email listed on the website. Complaints will be reviewed in line with the journal’s ethical standards and with relevant international guidance.
