Mission of the publication «WSHIU Scientific Notebooks: Theory and Practice of Social Security» is to develop and strengthen the academic and professional community by disseminating up to date scholarly research and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing that supports evidence based decisions and practical improvements in social security systems and social policy.
! We publish original research papers that provide theoretical insights, methodological approaches, and practical recommendations in the following areas:
•    social and economical security systems and reforms, including pensions, disability, sickness, and unemployment protection
•    social policy design, implementation, and evaluation at international, national, and local levels
•    labour market policy, decent work, employment security, and skills development
•    public governance and administration of social protection institutions and programmes
•    social services, social work, community support, and care policies
•    demographic change, ageing, migration, and their implications for welfare sustainability
•    inequality, poverty reduction, social inclusion, and protection of vulnerable groups
•    health and long term care policy, social determinants of health, and system resilience
•    legal, economic, and socio humanitarian aspects of social security and welfare development
The publication is read and cited by scholars, researchers, the academic community, policymakers, practitioners, and decision makers working in social security, social policy, public administration, economics, sociology, law, and related fields.
The Editorial Board is composed of recognised international experts to ensure high standards of peer review and publication quality.
We support an open access model that enables the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge. All articles are published in open access and made available on the journal website.
The publication is financed solely by an article processing charge, which is also known as APC.
